Can you work from anywhere in the world?
This is THE question I answer for all my clients. In the event of:
Most of us can work as long as we have an internet connection. And if we don’t? Tethering to a mobile phone usually does the job provided your infrastructure supports it. And that’s where I come in.
Generalising, the three IT cornerstones of any business:
- documents & data
- telephones
A good email server eg. Office365, Fastmail, Gmail sorts email out.
A cloud service such as OneDrive, Sharepoint, Dropbox or maybe a Synology NAS, gives us access to our documents.
Leaving just the phones… mobiles are easy but landline? Can you work from home and answer the office telephone? What about when you are on holiday?
I can and so can my clients!
There are many options but simply put, moving to a VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) service is a great solution.
There are many providers but my favourites include:
- Nimvelo.com (referal link for us to both get £20 of credit!)
- Microsoft Teams
